The partnership aims to empower small vegetable farmers to grow local quality vegetable products while preserving the environment. They also seek to give them access to a stable and profitable market. Canaan Land aspires to be an inclusive agriculture model that covers all stages of the value chain, from production marketing, to sale to end customers.

About the business champion

Canaan Land is an Abidjan based start-up created in 2015 by Patricia Zoundi Yao, who is passionate about entrepreneurship and making impact in rural areas. Canaan Land has taken on the mission of nourishing Côte d'Ivoire in a healthy way by creating a link between the vegetable production basins and the areas of mass vegetable consumption, by developing a model of sustainable and inclusive agriculture model that benefits smallholder women farmers, while respecting the environment.
