This partnership will impact food and nutrition security by offering high-quality maize grains to Nigerian consumers. It will also promote on-farm and off-farm innovative technologies and increase the volume and consumption of high-quality maize, free from Aflatoxin (less than 0.4 ppb) and pesticide contamination, particularly aluminum-based chemicals used during storage. The partnership targets to produce more than 50,000 tons of quality marketable maize grains and the excess will be consumed by farmers and by local communities.
