This partnership aims to support the professionalization of Guinea fowl production and commercialization. Atibire Enterprise is the market driver for the partnership. 2SCALE is interested in this partnership because it engages a significant number of SHFs, and a unique African commodity, for which there is considerable demand, also outside of the traditional zones of production. The partnership involves a series of innovative activities to boost Guinea fowl production, and to support commercialization.

Achievements:

Assess financing gaps within the partnership

Facilitate access to working capital for farmers to buy veterinary drugs and services

Facilitate access to working capital for Atibire Enterprise to source fowls

Strengthen the network between cluster actors and financial institutions operating in the partnership

Assess the pilot and decide about next steps (if any)

Targets

Involve 6,000 smallholder farmers (1,000 women) and 10 small and medium enterprises (5 female-headed).
