Mushroom Growers and Exporters Association of Ghana (MUGREAG) is currently producing around 758 tons of mushroom per year, which is below the demand of this new market. Despite great potential for poverty reduction and income generation, the mushroom industry is characterized by low productivity and poor value chain linkages. The partnership with 2SCALE is aimed at mobilizing new mushroom growers and strengthening the use of innovative technologies resulting in improved product quality and yield; it also seeks to improve the coordination among value chain stakeholders.
